We have now started work on our latest project in Bushey Heath, Hertfordshire, with completion in 2012. This new development will provide 41 apartments in total – 39 one bedroom state-of-the-art mobility apartments for people of all ages with physical disabilities or vision impairment, plus two apartments for the full time on site house managers. There will also be a guest suite for visiting family or friends.

As with all our developments, this location has been selected with great care. Not only will it meet an urgent need in our community for Jewish Blind & Disabled’s unique service in this area, but it will also ensure that future tenants will have easy access to vital facilities such as shops, doctor’s surgery, local transport and the synagogue.

Each spacious apartment will consist of a bedroom with fitted wardrobes, a comfortable living room with open plan fitted kitchen, and an easy access wet floor shower room.

"Life can change so suddenly and you never know what lies ahead. From being a sports mad advertising executive my husband is now confined to a wheelchair by his progressive multiple sclerosis. However, thanks to Jewish Blind & Disabled we are both able to get on with our lives which may have changed but certainly have not stopped - as we make the most of every precious day."
