Tenants at Cecil Rosen Court delighted to have received Covid vaccine

19 January 2021

It may have been dubbed blue Monday but for some Jewish Blind & Disabled tenants it was anything but blue.

Over 45 tenants at Cecil Rosen Court in Bushey were delighted to be visited by community nurses on

Monday 18th January who gave them the first of their two Covid vaccines. The vaccines were also administered to a handful of front-line staff. Almost all of the 68 tenants living in Cecil Rosen Court have now had their first vaccine.

Pamela, a tenant at Cecil Rosen Court, who lives with her husband Raymond commented; “I am absolutely delighted to be vaccinated today. I hardly felt anything. It’s just such a relief.”

Jonathan along with his wife Rosalind also received their vaccination. He commented; “This today has made my year”.

Lisa Wimborne, Chief Executive at Jewish Blind & Disabled commented; “We were surprised to receive a call informing us they would be visiting the development on Monday. Many of our tenants would have found it difficult to get to a vaccination appointment so this was a really welcome visit for everyone. The spirits were incredibly high and some tenants and family members cried with happiness. We would of course love to arrange vaccines in each of our developments but this is very much down to the local teams and their priorities. In the meantime, we have seen increasing numbers of tenants be invited to vaccination centres and look forward to many more over the coming days, weeks and months”.
