Legacy Roadshow for Legacy Awareness Month

14 November 2025

This month is Legacy Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the significance of charitable gifts made through Wills.

Legacy gifts offer a meaningful way to ensure that an individual’s values continue to live on and make a lasting difference. Such gifts benefit both JBD as a charity, by enabling us to continue providing vital support to people in the community with physical disabilities or vision impairment, and the person leaving the legacy, by offering valuable financial and tax advantages to their estate.

£1 in every £3 of the money we raise is thanks to people who leave us a gift in their Will. These legacies have provided long-term, sustainable funding that have supported the development of many of our properties and expansion of our community-based services.

For lots of members of the community, JBD has offered more than just a fresh start, it has offered a lifeline when they needed it most. By providing access to housing and support, JBD continues to help support Jewish people with physical disabilities or vision impairment in regaining their much-valued independence.

To mark Legacy Awareness Month, we are hosting a Legacy Roadshow. From the 1st – 4th of December, we will be at each of our seven developments to raise awareness about the importance of legacy giving. You will be able to hear from guest speakers and learn more about our Free Will Writing Service thanks to our partnership with the National Free Wills Network.

The Roadshow will be open to all who wish to attend – dates can be found at the bottom of this email. Take this opportunity to learn more about leaving a charitable gift in your Will, ensuring JBD can continue to provide vital support to many across the Jewish community.

If you are interested in dropping into the Legacy Roadshow, please email to rachel@jbd.org, or by phone on 020 4548 8692.
