JBD Golf Day 2024

22 July 2024

Jewish Blind & Disabled’s annual ‘Friends of JBD Golf Day’ raised a record breaking £37,000.

The rain stopped and the sun shone for the 11th annual friends of JBD golf day. Organised by Lloyd Botchin together with Spencer Botchin, Jeremy Doltis, Steve Crawford and Edward Mott-Cowan, the Golf Day took place at Hartsbourne Country Club in Bushey with over 90 golfers.

Lloyd Botchin established the golf day 11 years ago by way of thanks for the housing and support we provided his late parents, Sirley and Max, who were tenants at Cecil Rosen Court. In these past 11 years, he has raised over £250K for JBD and this year, for the first time to reward his success and some great golfing, Lloyd and his team were awarded the winners’ cup.

Lisa Wimborne, JBD Chief Executive, said:

“With demand for our services at an all-time high, we are growing and developing our services. This will only be possible with increased funding. We are so grateful to Lloyd, his committee, the event sponsors and everyone who attended the day. Not only was it a wonderful and sunny day but they raised a record breaking £37,000 which will go a long way in transforming more lives for Jewish people living with physical disability and / or vision impairment”.
