A fond farewell to Tony and a warm welcome to Jason and Rod

21 July 2026

After nearly six years of dedicated service as a Trustee and Treasurer of JBD, Tony Levy is stepping down and passing on the baton.

Over the years, Tony has brought a wealth of expertise, insight and unwavering commitment. He helped guide JBD with diligence and good humour, and his dedication and leadership will leave a lasting mark.

We are so grateful for all that Tony has contributed to JBD. We look forward to seeing him at future JBD events and keeping him updated with this next chapter.

Looking forward, we are delighted to welcome two new trustees to JBD.

The first is Jason Appel, who will be stepping into the role of Treasurer, following Tony’s departure.

We are very pleased to welcome Jason – a Senior Partner at BKL with extensive experience supporting businesses through periods of growth, change and strategic development. Alongside his work with CST, Jason’s role as Treasurer of Saracens Amateur Rugby Football Club, has provided him with extensive financial and governance expertise which will be greatly beneficial to JBD.

We are also delighted to introduce the second of our two new trustees, Rod Carlton.

Rod retired from corporate law in 2024 following a 30-year career as a partner in an international law firm. He brings extensive experience of corporate governance, strategic planning and organisational decision-making.

We look forward to having Rod on board, supporting JBD’s growth, future development and long-term planning.

As we celebrate Tony’s outstanding contribution and dedication to JBD over the past six years, we are also delighted to welcome Jason and Rod, whose experience, insight and leadership will help guide our continued growth and development.
