National Trustees Week

This week is National Trustees Week – a time dedicated to recognising the commitment and vital contributions our trustees make to JBD.

Our devoted trustees bring a wealth of experience and guidance which underpins the work JBD does. Their input is instrumental in enabling us to continue providing vital support to many people in our community with physical disabilities or vision impairments.

We are very thankful for their dedication, contributions, and ongoing support.

Building on this strong foundation, we are now looking for new committee members and a new Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees.

As Treasurer, you will help shape JBD’s financial strategy and support our ambitious development plans, ensuring we can extend our vital support to even more people. Furthermore, you will be an appointed trustee, responsible for scrutinising JBD’s financial planning and day to day affairs to ensure its financial viability.

We are also currently seeking a new member for our Finance Committee. This person must be a finance professional, who will be dedicated to supporting JBD by regularly reviewing its financial performance and overseeing its strategic planning.

If your background is not in finance, but in another area of expertise, and you are interested in joining one of our committees, your skills and experience are still highly valued. We are currently also looking for people to join our Nominations and Governance Committee, as well as our Fundraising and Marketing Committee.

We are looking to appoint a new member to our Nominations and Governance Committee who has experience in either recruitment, charity governance or law. This role will involve monitoring and overseeing recruitment, as well as making recommendations on matters regarding risk, safeguarding and data protection.

In addition, we are looking for a professional to join our Fundraising and Marketing Committee, who will be dedicated to driving JBD’s growth and outreach. This role will focus on the management and development of fundraising and marketing strategies which inspire generosity and long-term support.
