  • Karen Zeff- Director of House Management & Tenancy Support

    Karen joined Jewish Blind & Disabled in August 2012. Her role as Director is to ensure the House Managers deliver a professional caring service right for tenants in our buildings across NW and NE London. Karen also oversees the Tenancy Support Team as well as our New Independent Living Advisory Service which has expanded the services that we provided.  We are now able to offer advice and support to people living in the community to enable them to manage for longer to live independently.

    Karen has extensive experience in housing which she gained from over 20 years working with both Local Authorities and Housing Associations. Her last position was with a Housing Association that provided affordable housing and care support services in London and Hertfordshire.

  • Miriam Marsden - Head of Tenancy Support

    Miriam joined Jewish Blind & Disabled in 2009 as Tenancy Support Administrator. In 2010 she took over the role of Tenancy Support Advisor before moving into the position of Head of Tenancy Support.   Miriam manages all the staff in the Tenancy Support Team who interact with our tenants.  This includes the Volunteer Team who provide ongoing events and activities across all buildings, in addition to overseeing our bus drivers who provide regular shopping trips.  

    These departments deliver a valuable and appreciated service to our tenants.



  • Julie Woolf - NW London Tenancy Support Advisor

    Julie joined Jewish Blind & Disabled in October 2018, having had 10 years’ experience with Sunrise Senior Living, working within Community Relations.  Before that she worked as a Financial Adviser.

    She covers the four buildings within the North West London area, meeting with tenants on a regular basis to help with any welfare concerns they may have. 

    Julie also meets with prospective tenants and is part of the team that oversees the application process of visiting prospective tenants and assessing their suitability for one of our buildings.



  • Caroline King Tenancy Support Administrator


    Prior to joining Jewish Blind & Disabled in 2009, Caroline worked in the production department at the BBC. Caroline, together with Laurie, share the role of Tenancy Support Administrator, working mornings across the week.

  • Laurie Sherman Tenancy Support Administrator


    Laurie hails originally from Memphis, Tennessee. She has worked in administration for over fifteen years, including an RNIB school for disabled children until joining Jewish Blind & Disabled in May 2011. As Tenancy Support Administrator, she organises the 24/7 Resident House Managers' on-call duty rota, and she also assists in managing the day to day administration of the department.

  • Rob Lewis - Mobility Bus Driver NE London

    Rob joined in 2013 and he drives tenants from our North East buildings to their local kosher shops and supermarket.

  • Lenny Wilson - Bus Driver/Caretaker

    Lenny joined in 2019. Not only does he take tenants from our NW buildings to on their regualr shopping trips to local supermarkets and kosher shops, he also undertakes a range of caretaking tasks across all of our buildings and generally acts as a super Man Friday.
