Jewish Blind & Disabled is the only Jewish charity providing state-of-the-art mobility apartments for people from the age of 18 upwards who are physically disabled or vision impaired.
Property Management
We take pride in maintaining each of our buildings to the highest standard. The property department looks after all aspects of this maintenance from daily cleaning of all the common parts to a seven yearly cycle of complete redecoration.
The list of works within the property department's portfolio includes:
- daily cleaning of common parts
- regular window cleaning
- garden maintenance
- repairs within apartments
- modification of apartments to cater for changing levels of mobility
- ongoing works to improve facilities
- seven year cycle of redecoration
- overseeing the building of the new development in Bushey
In addition to this the property department also manages the mobility bus that takes tenants on weekly shopping trips.
We are a traditional Jewish family with one difference - our 27 year old son has cerebral palsy. Five years ago Joel moved into Aztec House and this changed all our lives. It has given us peace of mind knowing that our son is in a safe environment where there is always someone available to assist. The future no longer looks bleak and, against all I was told, Joel can be independent to a large degree.
