Living with us

Our adapted apartments remove the barriers that people with disabilities or vision impairments face when living in inappropriate housing. The right home is so much more than bricks and mortar to provide shelter; it is a safe space that meets our tenants needs and where they feel comfortable and connected to friends, family and community

Tenants range in age from early 20’s to those over 100 and have many different disabilities including multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, rheumatoid arthritis as well as sight related impairments.

Living in your own mobility apartment means that you can enjoy the best of both worlds –  privacy whilst benefitting from the wide range of activities in a warm supportive Jewish community.

Support on hand

Tenants’ well-being is at the heart of everything we do. We have 24/7, on-site house managers who are on call anytime in case of an emergency and are based at the development during office hours on Monday – Friday to ensure the smooth day to day running of the buildings.

We have a dedicated Tenancy Support Team who are on hand to help with any issues that tenants are facing. There is a Community Engagement Team who help run a range of events and sessions within the developments or online and help to create unique supportive communities.

Property management & maintenance

We take pride in maintaining each of our buildings to the highest standard and are committed to ongoing investment in our buildings to ensure they are wonderful and accessible places to live in.  The property department looks after all aspects of the management of our developments.

We have an in-house maintenance team and work with a range of contractors where needed. We look after the maintenance and repairs within all apartments and our communal areas. We can make modifications to apartments to adapt to tenants changing levels of mobility and needs.

Tenant Gary with Bus driver Rob by bus

Mobility buses

We have two mini-buses – one in North East London and one in North West London that are used for tenants to go on weekly trips to the local supermarkets and kosher shops. Our specially trained drivers continually go above and beyond the call of duty to help tenants with their shopping.

The shopping bus service enables our tenants to retain their independence by being able to shop and cook for themselves.
