What We Do

We enable adults of all ages who are physically disabled or vision impaired to live independently in their own mobility apartment with 24 hour a day, seven day a week on site support. In addition to this our Tenant Support Team also assist tenants from their initial assessment to moving in and beyond, if required, with setting up care packages etc. These unique facilities enable our tenants to live an independent life with the dignity of personal choice that can only come from having their own front door.

We currently have 320 tenants living in our six developments across North West and North East London, with this number due to increase in 2012 when we open our seventh project in Bushey. Our tenants cover a very broad spectrum ranging from their early 20’s and encompassing an array of different disabilities including multiple sclerosis, Huntingdon’s Chorea, cerebral palsy, rheumatoid arthritis as well as sight related disabilities and those disabilities that come with age.

Our current developments are in South Woodford, Wanstead, Ilford, Kingsbury, Finchley and Mill Hill East with Bushey due to open in 2012. This will then mean that there will then be a total of 329 of our unique apartments, 160 in North West London and 159 in the North East.

  • Our support services

The support that we give is specifically designed to enable adults with physical disabilities or impaired vision to live independently. We do not run care homes and do not, therefore, offer full time care or nursing support. We do, however, ensure that assistance is on hand 24 hours a day, seven days a week from our resident house managers and, in addition, we have a Tenant Support team based at head office who help tenants who need assistance with on going matters such as putting together care packages etc.

"Having my own apartment means that I can shut the door on the world whenever I choose. Because the flat's mine I have been able to decorate it as I like and fill it with my personal belongings. My disabilities mean that I need support and my fear had been that I might end up in a home, instead of which I have a home of my own - my own flat of which I am very proud.”
