YJBD's Blindsight Premiere Success

Young JBD's award winning film night raises £1,500

On Monday 24th May, Young JBD hosted their film night at the Everyman Belsize Park.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Himalayas, Blindsight followed the gripping adventure of six Tibetan teenagers who set out to climb the 23,000 foot Lhakpa Ri on the north side of Mount Everest.

A packed cinema transported from the luxurious comfort of the Everyman, along with a bag of popcorn, to the freezing dangers of the Himalayas, made even more poignant by the determination of the young teenagers to overcome their disability and achieve their goal.

"It was an amazing film that just makes you realise how much we take for granted and how much people can achieve when they really put thier minds to it." said Laura Traill who attended the event.
