Young Patron's Chanukah Bagel Brunch

Young JBD held their Young Patron's Chanukah Bagel Brunch on Sunday 20th December at Frances & Dick James Court, Jewish Blind & Disabled's newest assisted living building.

Around 40 Young Patrons, Young JBD committee members and tenants attended the bagel brunch. Rick Lawton, Young JBD Chairman gave a welcome speech which was followed by the Jewish Blind & Disabled video. Hazel Kaye, Chief Executive and Malcolm Ozin, President gave tours of the building to show Young Patrons first hand the unique facilities the charity provides.

Alex Caplan, Young Patron said:
"Thank you again for the opportunity to visit Frances & Dick James Court. I'm so pleased to have seen, first-hand, the marvellous facilities Jewish Blind & Disabled is able to provide for its tenants, helping them live comfortably, in safety and with dignity -- with as much or as little support as they require."

Young JBD aim to set up a Young Parton board early next year to develop the campaign and help with the organisation of their main event to be held December 2010.

Hazel Kaye, Chief Executive said:
"We were delighted to welcome our Young Patrons to Frances & Dick James Court and have the opportunity to give them a guided tour of the unique facilities we offer. The support from our Young Patron's has been phenomenal and we hope the campaign will grow from strength to strength."
