40th Anniversary reception at No. 11 Downing St

Over 100 guests enjoyed a reception at No. 11 Downing Street on Tuesday 13th October in celebration of Jewish Blind & Disabled's 40th Anniversary.

Host Maggie Darling welcomed supporters to Downing Street, to highlight the services that the charity provides to the Jewish Community in North London. Maggie added:
"All lives have value, and everyone should be able to live a fulfilling life.

"I know that this is the core philosophy at Jewish Blind and Disabled and I support their work to ensure that every individual, young and old lives a life of dignity in which independence is not just possible but vital."

Guests included Young JBD Patrons, members of the Young JBD Committee, 2010 Marathon runners Doron Kristal and Hayley Braude, and many other Young Professionals.

Hazel Kaye Chief Executive thanked Mrs Darling for her generous hospitality, and together with John Joseph Chairman addressed guests about the aims of the charity.

The event helped to raise awareness of charity and premiered the charity's new film, featuring many of the charities tenants who also joined the celebrations at No. 11.

Michael Cohen, Honorary Treasurer closed the evening with a vote of thanks to our guests for their support, and to Mrs Darling who hosted the evening.
