Ladies lunch with Chef Denise Phillips raises £2,000

Hosted by Victoria Dennis, Denise Phillips, chef of over 20 years and author of many cookery books, captivated ladies at a live cookery demonstration, bringing to the boil a three course Rosh Hashanah special.

The cookery demonstration of sweet potato and carrot soup, sole filled with salmon mousseline, an aubergine and tomato salad, and honey apple cake filled the room with scrumptious scents inspiring guests with the new recipes and tips. The demo was followed by food tasting of all dishes cooked, together with a question & answers session.

Ladies then enjoyed a bagel lunch and a personal book signing by Denise to mark the re-launch of her latest cookery book 'Jewish mamas kitchen'.

Hazel Kaye, Chief Executive of Jewish Blind & Disabled adds;
"This intimate and friendly event was a huge success, and thanks must go to both Victoria and Denise for their generous hospitality and time. We now look forward to our next Ladies Lunch in December with guest speaker Esther Rantzen".
