Superheroes & Villains raise over £2,000 for young jbd
Young JBD held their third fundraising event for Jewish Blind & Disabled last Saturday 7th March at the Grand Union, Kentish Town sponsored by the Jewish News.
The fancy dress Purim party attracted around 200 superheroes and villains all supporting a fantastic cause helping to raise over £2,000 on the night. DJ Theo Goldberg played the latest tunes creating an electric atmosphere allowing our superheroes and villains to party the night away.
Best dressed prizes on the night went to Kim Fishman and Rob Carr who dressed as Mario and Luigi and Stephanie Thwaites who dressed as Mrs Lovett from Sweeney Todd.
Laura Susman, young jbd committee member said:
"A big thank you to everyone who supported our young JBD Purim party helping to make it a huge success. We were really happy with the turn out and a great night was had by all - superheroes and villains included!."
Young jbd have now staged three successful events and have achieved their original aim - to raise awareness of Jewish Blind & Disabled to young professionals within our community.
Money raised from the night will go towards funding upgrades within our seven buildings.
