Can you imagine what it's like... it's like... to not be
able to bathe yourself?
it's like... to be unable to cook
without risking an accident?
it's like... to feel like you are living
in solitary confinement?
The evidence is clear, you can help tear down the barriers to independence.

On Thursday 5th July 60 young professionals attended Young JBD’s sell- out showing of Newsrevue which took place at the canal café theatre in Maida Vale.

Saul Stetson a member of the Young JBD committee welcomed everyone on the night and talked about one of our younger tenants whose life has been dramatically changed for the better since she moved into one of Jewish Blind & Disabled’s apartments.

Guests were then treated to hilarious short satirical skits about the news of the week. The actors were met by thunderous applause and giggles throughout the show.

The evening raised over £1,000 which will go towards Young JBD’s project to fund specially adapted wheelchair kitchens in our new development of 41 state-of-the art mobility apartments in Bushey Heath due to open later this year.

Young JBD would like to thank everyone who supported this event and look forward to welcoming everyone to their next event, their annual pub quiz which takes place on Sunday 9th September at the Castle Rocks Pub.
