Can you imagine what it's like... it's like... to not be
able to bathe yourself?
it's like... to be unable to cook
without risking an accident?
it's like... to feel like you are living
in solitary confinement?
The evidence is clear, you can help tear down the barriers to independence.

On the 5th March a reception was held at Frances & Dick James Court to mark the official launch of Jewish Blind & Disabled’s newLeadership Circle. This initiative is specifically for influential people in their mid-thirties to late forties, some of whom may have previously been Young Patrons, who wish to involve themselves not just in raising much-needed funds but also, as importantly, in raising awareness and contributing to the future of the charity. Indeed, it is our hope that many of those involved in theLeadership Circle today will become the leaders of the charity tomorrow.

The founding Board Members of this vital new group are Craig Fisher, Daniel Cohen,, Jon Werth, Peter Silverman and Simone Collins. Both Simone and Peter spoke at this inaugural event explaining their reasons for becoming involved with the charity. As Peter said When people think of Jewish Blind & Disabled, they do not realise that on a daily basis we help tenants with multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, motor neurone, severe arthritis, amputations, vision impairment and much more. The reality is most of us sadly have family members or friends who are in this position. By joining the Leadership Circle, this is ourchance to help make a difference to our tenants who so greatly deserve to live an independent lifestyle like you and I.”
