Jewish Blind & Disabled would like to congratulate Rob Dyan on completing the ‘Run to the Beat’ half Marathon last Sunday.

Rob said “As someone who likes to keep fit and challenge myself I decided in June to take on my first half marathon. As a Young Patron of Jewish Blind & disabled I decided that I wouldn't have a better opportunity to raise money for them. It was a beautifully hot day (not very helpful to a runner!) and I raced with a close friend, we completed the race in just less than 1 hour 37 minutes. The finish line and my supportive wife Lynne were a welcome sight. I am chuffed to achieve the time I did (I'll go faster next time!). However thanks to friends and family who donated, I'm even more proud to have raised £1,800 for Jewish Blind & Disabled which has made all the effort even more worthwhile.”

If you would like to take part in a challenge or would like more information about the challenges we offer then please email Danielle or call 020 8371 6611.

"At Jewish Blind & Disabled I am treated as an individual not as a disability. All the special features designed into the building mean that I can get on with my life with the dignity of self-sufficiency that most just take for granted.”
