Jewish Blind & Disabled would like to congratulate Oli Ogus and Peter Fischer for completing the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 22nd April. We thought we would share some of their thoughts from the day:

Peter said “I wanted to run the London marathon for a number of years. Jewish Blind & Disabled gave me the opportunity to do this, for which I am grateful. At the same time I was very happy to raise money for Jewish Blind & Disabled - a very worthwhile charity. On the day, the weather was good. I set off with the other 37000 runners, cheered on by large crowds. It is a pity that my finish time was slower than I had hoped, but overall this was a great experience, not to be missed!"

Oli said “I am pleased to say it was a great experience and there was an incredible atmosphere during the race. I am really happy I went through with the challenge. I'll spare you with a story of struggling and negativity until I reached the end where I was over the moon I had conquered the course. I didn't do it for me I did it for all the people who donated and in turn for the people who depend on Jewish Blind & Disabled.”

Money raised from the marathon will go towards our new development in Bushey Heath which opens later this year.
