On Sunday 29th May Jewish Blind & Disabled took part in the 5th annual Community Fun Run.

30 runners chose Jewish Blind & Disabled as their charity and walked, ran or jogged either the 1k, 5k or 10k race to raise much needed funds for the organisation. In total they raised the fantastic amount of over £4,000 in sponsorship money and each runner received a certificate and special goodie bag to commemorate their achievement.

Our runners ranged from six years old and included one of our own tenants who ran a magnificent 1k, as well as the wife of another tenant who ran a very impressive 5k. Robert Murray, who also took part in the 5k along with his son Jake, said of the day: “I was delighted to run for Jewish Blind & Disabled as it is a charity that is very close to my family’s heart. We are so happy that the money we raised will help to make a significant difference to people’s lives. The run was a challenge but both Jake and I managed it in good spirits and thoroughly enjoyed our day.”

Jewish Blind & Disabled would like to thank all our wonderful runners for their support and we look forward to seeing them again next year.
