On Sunday 17th February 11 gym fanatics took part in Jewish Blind & Disabled’s first Indoor Triathlon at the Laboratory Spa & Health Club, Mill Hill.

Participants chose from 3 levels depending on their fitness which included a run, cycle and a swim. The challenge raised over £3,000 which will go towards providing the special features and thoughtful touches that will complete our new Bushey Heath development, due to open later this year.

Triathlete Jamie Easterman said “I started to look for Triathlons to compete in and call it luck or chance or even beschet, a friend told me that Jewish Blind and Disabled were organising an Indoor Triathlon inside my Gym and asked if I was taking part. The thought of getting fit and giving back to the community at the same time really spurred me on through training and the event itself. To have completed it and raised over £700 for such a worthwhile local charity fills me with huge pride. I am really happy to have been a part of this event and I have no doubt the money raised will be gratefully received.”

Danielle Foux Fundraising & Events Coordinator said “we were so pleased with the sheer dedication of our triathletes and the phenomenal amount they raised – this will definitely be an annual event in our challenge calendar.”

Jewish Blind & Disabled would also like to say a huge thank you to everyone who participated and to The Laboratory Spa & Health Club in Mill Hill as without them this event would not have been possible.
