Can you imagine what it's like... it's like... to not be
able to bathe yourself?
it's like... to be unable to cook
without risking an accident?
it's like... to feel like you are living
in solitary confinement?
The evidence is clear, you can help tear down the barriers to independence.

On Monday 25th February five of our wonderful house managers - Derek, Di, Vicky, Kelly & Pauline - started the Million step challenge. They each  wore special pedometer in order to count the number of steps they walked in a day.

Derek says “I love walking and it was a challenge that I found on the internet which caught my eye. Overall it was a great team effort, everyone put their best foot forward and raising £400 for Jewish Blind & Disabled made it extremely worthwhile.”

By the 18th March they had walked 973338 steps which is a brilliant achievement.

Jewish Blind & Disabled would like to say a big thank you to Derek, Di, Vicky, Kelly & Pauline for raising £400 and walking so many steps.

If you are interested in making up your own challenge or would like more information on current challenges please email Danielle or call 020 8371 6611.
