Can you imagine what it's like... it's like... to not be
able to bathe yourself?
it's like... to be unable to cook
without risking an accident?
it's like... to feel like you are living
in solitary confinement?
The evidence is clear, you can help tear down the barriers to independence.

Greg Swimer completed the London Marathon in an amazing 3 hours 27 minutes raising over £3,500 for Jewish Blind & Disabled in the process.

In addition his two daughters, Yael and Annie, organised a cake sale last Sunday to support his marathon effort adding £400 to this fantastic amount.

Yael & Annie also went along to a Jewish Blind & Disabled development of mobility apartments during the school holidays, so they could see first-hand all the special design features in the projects, which make such a difference to the people the charity supports.

Hazel Kaye, chief executive said "We are so grateful to the whole Swimer family for all their support. Greg's effort in running the marathon for us is fantastic and it was so very kind of Yael and Annie to want to help as well. The money they raise will help people live the independent life that can be so easy for others to take for granted."
