Can you imagine what it's like... it's like... to not be
able to bathe yourself?
it's like... to be unable to cook
without risking an accident?
it's like... to feel like you are living
in solitary confinement?
The evidence is clear, you can help tear down the barriers to independence.

On Sunday 20th  May Jewish Blind & Disabled took a stand at the 6th annual Community Fun Run. 41 runners chose to run for Jewish Blind & Disabled as their charity and walked, ran or jogged the 1k, 5k or 10k.

In total our runners collectively raised over £5,000 - a fantastic achievement. This money will go towards our new development of 41 state-of- the art mobility apartments due to open later this year in Bushey Heath. All runners received a personalised goodie bag with a certificate to commemorate their effort.

Our runners were all different ages and included one of our own tenants who ran the 1k and the new Teen JBD group who took on the challenge of running the 1k backwards.

Jewish Blind & Disabled would like to thank all our wonderful runners for their support and we look forward to seeing them next year.

If you would like to take part in next year’s community fun run or would like more information then please email Danielle or call 020 8371 6611.
