Jewish Blind & Disabled is the only Jewish charity providing state-of-the-art mobility apartments for people from the age of 18 upwards who are physically disabled or vision impaired.
Young JBD
Young JBD was established in 2008 to introduce young professionals in their 20’s and 30’s to the charity. The Young JBD committee consists of eight young professionals who give of their time and energy for the benefit of Jewish Blind and Disabled.
The Young JBD committee organise two or three events each year including tickets to shows or a film, speakers and an annual birthday party the last of which attracted 500 guests. They strive to find events that are different to the norm and they always ensure that any Young JBD event is particularly friendly and welcoming.

We are a traditional Jewish family with one difference - our 27 year old son has cerebral palsy. Five years ago Joel moved into Aztec House and this changed all our lives. It has given us peace of mind knowing that our son is in a safe environment where there is always someone available to assist. The future no longer looks bleak and, against all I was told, Joel can be independent to a large degree.
